Apple is preparing a hot autumn with two major announcements: the long-awaited smart glasses are now expected by late 2027, while the new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini are already finished and waiting only for the revamped Siri assistant to launch. According to the latest from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Cupertino is making decisive moves in wearables and smart home.
Apple Glasses Arrive in 2027 with Cameras and Multiple Designs
Gurman reveals the first Apple smart glasses, competing with Meta Ray-Bans, will launch in late 2027. The product has faced development delays but is now on track. Key features include oval-shaped integrated cameras, speakers and microphones for calls and Siri notifications, and the ability to capture photos and videos. Apple is testing at least four frame designs: large rectangular (similar to Wayfarers), slim rectangular (like Tim Cook's own glasses), large oval, and small oval. Colors range from black to ocean blue to light brown. The first version will not have an in-lens AR display, but Apple aims to evolve the glasses into a health device and eventually incorporate augmented reality. CEO Tim Cook considers this project his top priority before handing over to John Ternus on September 1. The expected price is between $200 and $500.

Apple TV and HomePod Mini Ready with New Chip and Enhanced Siri
On the other side, the hardware for the new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini has been fully ready for months and is already being used by employees at Apple's Cupertino headquarters. The only holdup is the launch of the more personalized Siri version, expected with iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 to be unveiled at WWDC 2026 on June 8. After public release in September, the new devices should be available by year's end. The biggest changes are chip upgrades: the Apple TV is expected to move to the A17 Pro (the oldest chip supporting Apple Intelligence) and include the N1 chip for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. The HomePod mini will get the S9 chip or newer, with improved audio and a new red color option. The Siri Remote may also be refreshed. Gurman warns not to expect radical design changes, but these devices will be key to Apple's smart home ecosystem.
