Apple has introduced five new applications over the past week, with four announced at WWDC 2026 alongside the upcoming fall software updates, one released in beta for developers, and one made available independently by its subsidiary Claris. Here is what they offer and how they will change the user experience.
Siri AI: A Completely Revamped Voice Assistant
The biggest highlight of WWDC 2026 is Siri AI, a ground-up rebuild of Apple's voice assistant that for the first time comes with a dedicated standalone app. Like other chatbots, Siri can search the web, access general world knowledge, evaluate documents, solve math problems, and take action across apps, such as providing detailed Maps directions with multiple stops, editing and sharing photos, or writing an email in the user's own writing style. The app lets users type or talk as in a chat thread and syncs conversation history via iCloud. It will arrive this fall with iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS Golden Gate, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27. Currently, the operating systems are in developer beta, but access to Siri AI requires a waitlist. Apple noted that Siri AI will not be available in the EU at launch but is working on a path forward.

Apple TV Remote App Returns
Apple previously removed the Apple TV Remote app from the App Store in 2020. With iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, the company restores it as a Home Screen icon, preinstalled. To add it, swipe down, search for 'Remote,' then tap and hold the icon to drag it into place. It is also accessible via the App Library.
Find My on Apple Watch Finally Unified
watchOS 27 brings a long-overdue consolidation to the Find My app on Apple Watch. Previously split into separate apps for devices, people, and items, the new app combines everything into a single map-centric interface. The main screen provides quick access to directions and finding nearby items, with Precision Finding for locating a paired iPhone, AirPods Pro 3, or AirTag 2. More flexible sharing options for location and item tracking are also introduced.

Pass Designer: Create Wallet Passes on Mac
Apple launched Pass Designer, a new Mac app for building and previewing Apple Wallet passes, aimed at developers and businesses. It supports Apple templates or custom designs with images such as logos and backgrounds. The real-time preview uses the same rendering as iOS and watchOS, ensuring what you see matches the final result. Pass Designer validates the pass as work progresses, alerting developers to issues like missing required keys. For boarding passes and event tickets, it supports semantic tags that add structured data for Siri Suggestions, Calendar integration, and Maps directions. The beta requires macOS 27 and is available to registered developers.

Claris FileMaker Go 2026: Low-Code Database with AI
Unlike the other four apps, Claris FileMaker Go 2026 is already available since June 10. FileMaker is a low-code database platform for building custom apps without extensive programming knowledge. The new version supports iOS and iPadOS 26 and adds Google Gemini to the supported AI models (Anthropic, OpenAI, Cohere). The update focuses on developer productivity, infrastructure resilience, and an AI-ready architecture, shaped by feedback from the Claris community. FileMaker is developed by Claris International, an Apple subsidiary. For more Apple news, check our article on Apple Music revealing the top 20 most-streamed artists.
