Nothing has introduced its second pair of open-ear earbuds, this time under the CMF brand. The new CMF Clip Pro are now available for $99, with a $20 discount during the initial launch window. This launch follows the trend of clip-style open-ear earbuds that have been popping up everywhere, offering a lightweight and breathable alternative for those who dislike traditional in-ear designs.

A clip design that attaches to the ear

The CMF Clip Pro differ from the Nothing Ear (open), which hook behind the ear. The new clips attach to the outside of the ear and position the speaker right against the ear canal while still letting surrounding sounds through. This solution is particularly appreciated by those who play sports or need to stay aware of their surroundings, without sacrificing good audio.

10.8mm drivers and Ultra Bass technology

Nothing has integrated 10.8mm drivers into the earbuds, which weigh only 5.92 grams. The "Ultra Bass" technology compensates for the typical loss of low frequencies found in open-ear headphones. If the behavior is similar to that of the Nothing Ear (open), the sound quality should be very good, with present bass and a balanced sound despite the open nature.

10-hour battery and 32.5-hour case

The battery life is rated at 10 hours for the earbuds, which extends to 32.5 hours total with the charging case. This is an excellent result for the category, ensuring extended use without worries. The case recharges the earbuds multiple times, making them ideal for those always on the move.

Smart Dial for intuitive control

An interesting addition is the return of CMF's "Smart Dial". This wheel on the case allows you to control volume and playback directly from the earbuds, as well as answer calls. It is a practical system that avoids taking out your phone every time, improving daily usability.

Colors and availability

The CMF Clip Pro are available in three colors, Coral, Light Grey, and Dark Grey. Pre-orders are open with a discounted price of $79.99, while the full price of $99.99 will apply later this month. Pre-orders are also open at Amazon, with a release date set for August 15.

This move by Nothing aims to strengthen its presence in the open-ear earbuds market, which is growing. The choice to use the CMF brand, known for good value products, makes the Clip Pro particularly appealing for those seeking functionality without spending a fortune.
