Samsung has officially confirmed that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series will feature a new foldable display architecture called Flex Titanium, designed to significantly reduce the unsightly central crease that has plagued previous models. The core of the new technology is a titanium-alloy film placed beneath the OLED panel. According to Samsung, this film is approximately 20 times stiffer mechanically than traditional plastic films, yet measures less than 30% of the thickness of a human hair. This enables a thinner overall display. Underneath the film, a titanium plate eliminates air gaps between the display module and the adhesive, providing more stable support when the device is unfolded while retaining the flexibility required for repeated folding.
