Samsung's 2026 OLED lineup features two standout models: the flagship S95H and the more affordable S90H. Both are excellent choices, but they differ greatly in performance and price. After testing both, I can say the decision comes down to your priorities.
Specs compared
On paper, the two TVs share many specs. Both offer 4K resolution, a 165 Hz refresh rate, and the NQ4 AI Gen3 processor. They support HDR10, HDR10+, and the new HDR10+ Advanced, but like all Samsung TVs, they lack Dolby Vision. The main difference is size availability: the S90H comes in 42 and 48 inches, while the S95H starts at 55 inches. Also, the S95H supports an optional One Connect Box for extra HDMI ports.
Design and build quality
Design is one of the most divisive aspects. The S95H features a striking metal frame that resembles a picture frame, while the S90H uses a traditional pedestal stand. The metal frame may be love-it-or-hate-it, but wall-mounted it enhances the image. The S90H has a more subdued look. Both models feature the Glare Free matte display, which in bright rooms can make blacks appear purplish-gray. The Solar Cell remote is included with both.

Brightness and color performance
The S95H's key advantage is brightness. In our tests, the S95H reached 2,721 nits in HDR, nearly double the 1,497 nits of the S90H. This results in brighter highlights and greater visual depth. Thanks to QD-OLED technology, the S95H covers 90% of BT.2020 color space, compared to 78% for the S90H's WOLED panel. Colors appear more saturated and skin tones are more accurate. However, the S90H still offers excellent quality with perfect blacks and wide viewing angles typical of OLEDs.

Which one to choose
If budget allows and you seek the best brightness and color, the Samsung S95H is the winner. For those wanting a quality OLED at a lower price, the S90H is a great alternative.
