Adobe has officially integrated its Firefly AI Assistant into some of the most popular Creative Cloud apps, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Frame.io. The update, available today in public beta, introduces a sidebar panel directly accessible from each application, allowing users to delegate repetitive and complex tasks to artificial intelligence without leaving their workflow.
A Revamped Creative AI Studio Experience
In addition to the in-app integration, Adobe previewed an upgraded Firefly Creative AI Studio that expands the assistant's capabilities. A standout feature is the Elements function, which lets users save previously generated characters, locations, and objects for reuse in future outputs, ensuring visual consistency across stories, campaigns, and evolving projects. This capability is designed to maintain creative identity throughout workflows within Firefly.

Firefly AI Assistant gains additional skills: it can now help create a complete brand identity, automatically transferring styles, logos, and colors to every piece of generated content. It can also produce a rough cut from multiple video clips and generate video from storyboards, streamlining the work of editors and designers. According to Adobe, the goal is to reduce repetitive workload, allowing professionals to spend more time on creative decisions.
Native Interface for a Smoother Workflow
Before this update, the assistant could use Adobe programs to execute commands but lacked a direct interface. Now, with the integrated sidebar in Premiere, Photoshop, and other software, users can interact with Firefly AI Assistant more naturally. In one demo, an Adobe employee used the assistant inside Illustrator to randomize the placement of hundreds of circles, each slightly different in color and size — a task that would have taken hours of manual, tedious work.
