Tesla has finally started taking orders for the Model Y Long Wheelbase in the United States and Puerto Rico, almost a year after its debut in China. This variant features a three-row, six-seat configuration with heated seats and touchscreen displays for both the first and second rows. The wheelbase is six inches longer than other US Model Ys, offering increased interior space.
Cargo space and passenger comfort
Despite the three rows, Tesla says the trunk can fit a 28-inch and a 20-inch suitcase, while the frunk can hold an additional 20-inch bag. The second and third rows have one-touch fold capability, with the second row offering powered armrests and the third row power recline. Both rows include optimized side airbags, and seats come with either 50W charging pads or charging ports.

Range and performance
The Model Y Long Wheelbase delivers 325 miles of range, just two miles less than the non-Long Wheelbase Premium version, and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Buyers get 12 months of free access to Supervised Full Self Driving (after which it costs $99 per month) and 12 months of free Supercharging.
Pricing and availability
Starting at $61,990, the Long Wheelbase is nearly $22,000 more than the base Model Y and $12,000 more than the Premium variant. Deliveries are expected between September and October this year.
