Poke, a startup that lets users interact with AI agents via simple text messages, has been greenlit by Apple to integrate with Messages for Business. The technology combines an oxide TFT with a tandem two-stack OLED, already used in iPad Pro models, delivering higher brightness, improved efficiency, and longer lifespan. Samsung Display is manufacturing the panels, and its 8.6G production line has reached a key milestone for mass production.

The impact extends far beyond Apple. Omdia predicts hybrid panels will grow from 12.6% of all OLED laptop shipments in 2026 to 89.5% by 2033. The MacBook Ultra, expected between late 2026 and early 2027, will feature M6 chips, a thinner design, and a hole-punch camera, ditching the notch.
