Pixel 11's flashy light show masks Google's failure to improve face unlock

The latest Pixel 11 rumor describes a glowing ring around the rear camera, capable of pulsing to music and changing colors for notifications. Google is reportedly calling this feature Pixel Glow and is preparing it for its next flagship. Meanwhile, face unlock remains the Achilles heel of the Pixel series. A recent Pew poll finds that 77% of adults now support classroom phone bans, and it seems Google is focusing on lighting effects rather than the daily security of the device.
