Corrections
Mistakes can happen. When they do, we correct them openly, without quietly deleting what we had written.
Our commitment
Every article follows a public and traceable rule. Errors are corrected in plain sight, and readers can always know what changed and when.
How to report an error
Write to info@meteoraweb.com or use the contact page. To speed things up, please include
- the link to the article
- the sentence you believe is wrong
- what would be correct and, if you have one, a source that proves it
- an email address so we can reply to you
How long we take to respond
We assess every report within two working days. If the error is confirmed, we publish the correction within the following twenty-four hours, in all the languages of the article.
How corrections appear
At the bottom of the article we add a note with the date and the type of intervention.
- Correction, when a fact, a name or a number was wrong.
- Update, when new facts emerge after publication.
- Clarification, when a passage could have been misunderstood.
- Withdrawal, when the article does not hold up. In this case the notice also appears at the top.
Right of reply
People and companies cited in an article can request a correction or send a reply to the same address. If the request is well founded, we publish it at the bottom of the article with the sender's name and the date.
What we do not do
- We do not delete articles secretly.
- We do not change the publication date to make an old article look new.
- We do not remove accurate content just because someone dislikes it.
