Editorial standards

Who writes

Every article carries the byline of a person with a first and last name. We do not publish anonymous articles or articles signed with pseudonyms.

Eng. Calogero Bono, computer engineer, founder of Meteora Web, developer and system administrator, writes on technical topics, namely artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, software development, servers and management software.

Eng. Pietro Maiorana writes on digital marketing, social networks and e-commerce.

Each byline links to the author's page, which lists their profile and all the articles they have signed.

News and guides

We publish two types of articles. News covers a event of the day in technology, artificial intelligence, security, development, social media, marketing and management software, and explains what changes for those who work with digital tools.

Guides explain how to do something. They come from the work we do every day on our clients' websites, apps, servers and management software, and we update them when things change.

Sources and fact-checking

• A news story is published only if at least three different sources report it, and at least one of them is official, for example a company press release, technical documentation, a security advisory or a legal text.
• The official source is cited first. Every source has a link where we use it and is listed at the bottom of the article.
• What a company states is presented as its own statement, kept distinct from verified facts and from our opinions.
• We do not write figures or numbers that the sources do not confirm. If we make our own calculation, we say so.
• We put in quotation marks only sentences that appear word for word in the original source, attributed to the person who said them.

Use of artificial intelligence

News is written with the help of artificial intelligence models (Claude by Anthropic), starting from the text of the sources and not from what the model remembers. Translations into other languages are made the same way.

Before publication, an automated check verifies that sources are cited, that links work, that quotations match the original sources and that the article has all its parts. If something does not check out, the article is not published and stays in draft until a person has reviewed it.

Artificial intelligence is never a source. Responsibility for what we publish remains with the editorial team, and every error is reported and corrected as explained on our corrections page.

News cover images are graphic cards that we prepare ourselves using the article's data. We do not use generated images that depict real people, places or events.

Translations

We write in Italian and translate into thirteen languages. If a translation differs from the original, the Italian version prevails. Translation errors are reported like any other error.

News and services

Meteora Web is an agency based in Sciacca that develops websites, apps and management software, including Zenith, and manages servers. When an article touches on a topic for which we offer a service, the link to that service is clearly recognizable and does not change our judgment of the facts.

Articles are not for sale. Any content paid for by others always carries the label "Sponsored" and the name of the party that paid for it.

Updates

Guides are reviewed when products, rules or prices change. A change that alters the meaning of an article is flagged with a dated note, and the modification date is also updated in the data provided to search engines.

Images and third-party rights

We use our own graphic cards, our own or licensed photos, screenshots and official press material, always with the source indicated. If you believe an image or text infringes your rights, write to info@meteoraweb.com and we will remove it after verification.
